In this module, I had the opportunity to learn about incorporating Computer-Assisted Language Learning (CALL) into writing and reading activities, and to develop a technology-enhanced lesson plan. From my experience,  ESL Printables   and  Breaking News English  a re  the most suitable websites for my students. Regarding the former, it  is a useful resource for English teachers as it provides a wealth of free materials for teaching reading, writing, listening, speaking, and grammar. The materials on this website include activities, games, worksheets, and lesson plans, which are shared by other teachers, and you can see them on the forum. ESL Printables can also be beneficial for students as they can do exercises assigned by their teachers from the website. Overall, this is a great tool for teachers to search for and create a variety of activities for their students. The second website is Breaking News English. I share the same opinion as my classmate that i...

In week 2, I explored ABCD Learning Objectives Framework and Effective Web Searching. First of all, in terms of ABCD Learning Objectives Framework, it helps me a lot in writing down effective learning objectives for my class. For instance, in the past, a typical learning objective for my class might have been stated as "By the end of the lesson, students will have been able to talk about their career choices." However, thanks to the ABCD Learning Objectives Framework, it has provided me with a valuable tool for refining and enhancing my objectives. By incorporating the elements of Audience, Behavior, Condition, and Degree , I have gained a more holistic understanding of how to design instruction that is both purposeful and effective. For example, revisiting the aforementioned learning objective, it has transformed into a more precise statement: "Given the topic, suggested ideas, the speaking sample, and some useful expressions, the tenth-grade English students will ...

My very first lesson in the " Internet in Language Teaching " course is " Creating an academic blog " 💓 One major takeaway from this module is the importance of simplifying information. 🚀 At first, I think traditional academic blog can be hard for my students to get into because it is usually stuck in academic papers and conferences. However, after engaging in this module, I learned to break down those barriers. I used pictures, charts, and short videos to help explain things, making complex ideas simpler. One interesting thing I grasp after this module is u sing a blog for teaching English offers several advantages over platforms like TikTok, YouTube, or Facebook. The key benefit is that bl ogs primarily rely on written content, which is beneficial for language learners. Reading blog posts helps students improve vocabulary, comprehension, and overall language skills. It encourages a more focused and thoughtful engagement with the language compared to the often r...
